Early Development Program
U10, U12 – “Learn to Train” – Sat., 10:00 to 11:30am
- The focus of this program is on learning fundamental rugby skills, such as passing, catching, running, kicking and tackling. The focus of training is on introducing core technical skills and developing coordination and fine motor control.
- Coed
U8 – “FUNdamentals” – Sat., 10:00 to 11:00am
- The focus of this program is on having fun while developing the ABCs of physical literacy – Agility, Balance, Coordination and Speed. Additionally, participants will learn how to “read” what is going on around them and make decisions during games. This program helps to build the foundation for skill development in any sport, while introducing participants to elements of the sport of rugby (e.g. rugby ball and basic contact skills, like rolling, falling and bumping).

U6 – “Active Start” – Sat., 10:00 to 11:00am
- The focus of this stage of development is on having fun and building confidence, while developing coordination and balance. The focus of training is on learning fundamental movements through relatively unstructured play. This program helps to lay the foundation for future participation in any sport.
