Like a lot of you, I have spent the majority of the day in the car going to and from a rugby game. As we drove back, in the dark, along Highway 7, I wondered how many families had made that or a similar journey, laden with tents, coolers, Gatorade, sun screen, hats, water and I was so thankful for our rugby community.

I want to say thank you to all the coaches, managers, parents, guardians, family and friends who turn up for our players week in and week out. Seeing the stands at Twin Elm full on Saturday with players and coaches from every age group, to cheer for the senior men, was testament to the support we have as a club that we turn up for each other. It is this cross-generational support that makes a club and I am so proud to be part of BSRFC.
