The transition to 7s has well and truly begun and I had so much fun watching four different teams train side by side at Rowan’s on Thursday evening. What I love about those evenings is the smiles on everyone’s faces whether it is the players, the coaches or the parents and friends in the stands, it really is true, Rugby is Fun!
To ensure we continue to provide the best experience for everyone, we are participating in a provincial Member Retention Survey. This survey will help us understand your needs and preferences better, and it’s a key opportunity for you to have your voice heard. You will also receive the survey link directly from Rugby Ontario to the email you used to register in SportLomo. We encourage you to take some time to complete it, as your feedback is essential to helping us continue to offer quality programming. The survey can be completed once for up to four household members and, as a thank you for your feedback, if you complete the survey by October 7, you can enter a draw for one of four Rugby Ontario prize packs.
Thank you for your support. Your participation will help us gather valuable insights that will benefit both our club and our rugby community.
Team Updates
U16 Girls and Boys
This weekend saw the kickoff of the sevens season and the u16s went to London 7s and were undefeated in the three games they each played. Today the same groups were in action at the TIRF 7s and both teams won the first-place game. Both teams went undefeated in two tournaments over the weekend.
Another group of U16 girls played a friendly tournament in Kingston and everyone had a great time and this was a great learning experience
U14 Boys
U14B were also at TIRF today. They won all four round robin games playing Burlington, Georgian Bay, Toronto City and Caledon/Markham and then beat Georgian Bay side again in a close final match. They may have been outsized and outnumbered but it was a fantastic show of growth, teamwork and sportsmanship to win the tournament.
Congratulations to all our BSRFC athletes for a tremendous start to the 7s season.
