I have just returned from a fantastic few days in Vancouver watching the Vancouver 7s Invitational where Fraser, Adriano, Thomas, Isaac (all U18B), Charlie, Garth (U16B), Tahlia, Kainen, Cordelia (U16G), and Tillie (U18G) all came home with medals with their respective Rugby Ontario teams. Well done to all, it was a super event.
In recognition of International Women’s Day, I want to thank all the amazing women who make our club so special. Thank you to the players, coaches, managers, volunteers, family members who come out to support, we are so fortunate to have you as part of our club.
Tonight saw the farewell event for the U18 Italy Rugby Tour who leave on Saturday. I want to say a huge thanks to Trevor Grills and his amazing team for the incredible organization and fund raising that has gone on over the past year to make this event happen. I wish all 52 athletes, coaches, managers, health care experts, and chaperones the time of their lives and can’t wait to see the photos and hear all about the experience.

Important Dates
Try Rugby Day – March 28 – times TBD. As part of our Community in Schools initiative, we will be inviting local schools to a Try Rugby Day to encourage more rugby players from the Barrhaven area. We are also encouraging everyone to bring a friend so we can continue to grow the sport.
