We had another great night of rugby on Saturday night with six new players coming out as part of our Try Rugby session. It was great to see the big smiles on their faces, even through the cold, and we hope to see them all again next week.
Due to ongoing registration issues with the new registration platform, we have been granted permission by Rugby Ontario to continue offering Try Rugby sessions and encourage you to tell your friends to come along and give it a go. Thank you to the coaches for making these accommodations, it really is appreciated.
The executive are working closely with Rugby Ontario and Eastern Ontario on the league format and structure for all teams and hope to be able to share a schedule for the season at a much earlier date so we can plan more effectively.
The U18 group travelling to Italy have one last fundraiser underway, a gift card raffle where 10 winners can each win a $100 gift card. Winter Training
- If you are an existing player and have missed registration or can only make one or two sessions, you can pay per session. Please see Stephanie Hamel at the dome, cost is $18.75 per session.
- Location: Algonquin College Dome
- Dates: Saturdays, Jan 3 – Feb 21
- Schedule:
- 3:10 pm – 4:25 pm U14, U16, U12
- 4:25 pm – 5:55 pm Italy Tour, U18. Note Italy tour athletes do not need to register as it is included in tour fees. All other U18 are more than welcome to join.
- 5:55 pm – 7:10 pm Sr Women, Sr Men, U12
- *U12 transition to tackle/tackle refinement will be 1 hour, offered from 3:10 pm – 4:10 pm and 6:10 pm – 7:10 pm. Athletes may attend one or both.
- Parking is included, please park in P12 (to the left of the parking lot when approaching the dome).
AGM – February 21, 2026. Time and location TBD.
