Another weekend and another trip for our family along Highway 7 to Brampton rugby club for the second interbranch competition. It was fantastic seeing so many of our players and coaches compete and coach at such a high level and continues to show the high caliber of rugby that is evident at BSRFC.
Saturday also saw a number of our U14, U16 and Senior men play in the EORU Halloween bash at Twin Elm, I have it on good authority that the costumes were spooktactular.
That brings to an end our 7s season and our coaches will be taking a well-earned break before resuming winter training in January. Thank you everyone and enjoy your break.
This week sees the pilot offering of the Rugby Student-Athlete Pathways Workshop to the U18 Grade 12 boys, providing insights on Post-Secondary Student-Athlete (Rugby) Pathways and Opportunities. The boys will be joined by Sarah Storey who will provide details on the university application process while Greg Hedgcoe and Aaron McDonald will focus on what it takes to successfully transition to a university or college rugby athlete. I am excited to see how the pilot goes and how we can integrate this into our club program.
Congratulations
Grace Dingwall (U18G) continues to have an incredible year and has been awarded Rugby Ontario Junior Female Provincial Player of the Year. Congratulations Grace.
