I hope all the weary travelers are happily exhausted tonight after so many teams were on the road for games and festivals. I have 2 pieces of good news to share.
Firstly, we currently have 379 players registered with us this year, of which 139 are girls. We have seen an additional 23 girls registered this year compared to last year, which shows that we are creating a great environment for girls to enjoy the sport.
Secondly, we received this email from Rugby Canada so thank you to all for purchasing tickets and supporting Canada’s Women’s Rugby Team.
A Big Thank You to Barrhaven Scottish RFC
Rugby is about community—and Barrhaven Scottish RFC is leading by example. As Ottawa’s premier rugby club, Barrhaven has proudly committed to supporting Canada’s Women’s Rugby Team by donating 100% of their kickback from the Club Ticket Program from the August 1 match at TD Place directly to the Mission: Win the Rugby World Cup 2025 campaign.
From grassroots to senior levels, Barrhaven RFC is driven by passion and proudly represents the south Ottawa community both on and off the pitch. We’re incredibly grateful for their generosity and leadership.
Thank you, Barrhaven, for helping power the mission.
