Good morning all,
It has taken me a day to recover from the festivities of the weekend so I apologise for my tardiness in getting this weekly message out.
I don’t know the final numbers yet but I do know we put on quite the show. With games for every age group, a Minors festival with over 40 teams, a touring side from Wales and hundreds of visitors from all over the city, it was clear that BSRFC do rugby! Check out our Instagram and Facebook pages for great photos from the two day event.
We all know that to put on something of this size requires endless volunteer hours and I want to particularly thank Amanda, Taylor, John, Ross, Stephanie, Adele, Terrilyn, Sam, Colin, Megan and Lauren for all their efforts. However, I also want to thank each and everyone who set up, coached, managed, served, tore down and put away. To walk around Ken Ross Park and see our branded tents everywhere (thank you Liu Dental, First Aid Plus, The Royal Oak and Kelly Funeral Homes) was truly spectacular and to see the number of players taking part was wonderful. Thank you one and all.
I also want to thank Calabogie Brewing for the beer tent and for the sponsorship of the Senior Men’s jerseys along side CMG and Yates Sprinklers Thanks also to CAIVAN, Stained Glass Stuff and Calabogie for the sponsorship of the Senior Women’s jerseys, both of which had their first run out on Saturday. Finally thanks to the Royal Oak for the fantastic BBQ. We are incredibly grateful to all our sponsors for your ongoing support of the club. Check out our website for more information about all these great local companies who support grassroots rugby.
Team News – U16 Tour and Senior Success
We wish the best of luck to U16 Girls and Boys teams heading to the Bluenose Tournament in Nova Scotia this week and look forward to hearing of their tour antics.
Our Senior teams continue to have a fantastic season, I thought you would like to see they are top two in every league. Well done to all.
