Good afternoon all, 

I have just returned from an unexpected trip back to the Emerald Isle so apologies if you have been trying to reach me and I have been slow to respond. 

It is great hearing about the great performances across the club from minors, to youth, through junior, senior and old boys, it has been a fantastic season. We have teams heading towards the regional and provincial finals over the next few weeks and we wish everyone success and safe travels. 

Some of you will start hearing about the 7s season and it is a very different format to 15s. We understand other sports are starting and not everyone will want to be involved so I will put out a separate email this week explaining how it works to the impacted groups mainly U14,U16 and U18.

Message from the Rugby Ontario – Have Your Say 

Rugby Ontario is pleased to announce an Environmental Scan Survey as part of the ongoing process to develop the organization’s 2027-2031 Strategic Plan. 

Rugby Ontario Environmental Scan Survey

We are calling on all members of the rugby community in Ontario (including but not limited to: athletes, coaches, match officials, club leaders and administrators, volunteers, parents, etc.) to help us gather valuable feedback around demographics and respondents’ feedback across several strategic areas around the delivery and service of rugby within Ontario. The information will be reviewed and utilized to support the themes and objectives of the next Rugby Ontario Strategic Plan currently in development.

I would be really grateful if you could take the time to complete as effective change can only come when all our voices are heard. 

Message from the JAX

We end our season on Sunday, August 16 with our annual inclusive touch tournament.

What is it? A day where we invite all EORU members to learn about inclusive rugby and how it benefits both our athletes and the greater rugby community. We ask any interested players to come join us for touch rugby matches where your athletes mix and mingle with our athletes to play rugby!

Schedule: 1-2 pm – touch rugby games, 2 – 4 pm – FREE bbq and karaoke jam fest up at the bar. We will have our new Jax swag on sale at the bar as well! Our new Ts are pretty amazing!

Why do we do this?

1) To say thank you to all clubs who support the Jax
2) To share our love of rugby and to help community members understand what inclusive rugby is
3) To have a TONNE OF FUN!
