Good evening all, Hopefully you are all surviving this cold snap and enjoying some family time watching the Superbowl tonight.

Drew Willis and I met with Wilson Lo, the Councillor and Deputy Mayor – Ward 24 Barrhaven East to discuss future plans for Ken Ross Park and had some really productive conversations as to the club’s role in those plans.

The Executive have been really busy this week and I want to make a number of call outs, thank you to:

• Megan Cumming for prepping all the materials for the AGM, you have been a lifesaver this week.
• Julia Clarkson for the many hours prepping the financial statements and reconciling the budget, we should have the registration fee updates later this week.
• Ross Annett for taking the lead on the transition from Sportlomo to Play HQ, we hope to have registration details completed later this week.
• Stephanie Hamel for working with Macron to create a club shop, we hope to have it open after the AGM.

For those of you receiving emails asking you to join SPOND, this is an app that John Dingwall has been testing as an alternative to Teamsnap. John needs to test with a number of participants so we can see how the app performs, hence why you are receiving requests to join teams. Please note Teamsnap is still the source of truth for all events and team chats from your coaches and managers.

We have had a number of requests for coaches to support rugby programs in local schools, if you are interested in supporting Coaching in Schools, please contact Adele McCleery (juniorsdirector@barrhavenscottish.com) and if you are interested but do not have coaching qualifications, please reach out to Sharon Priestman (coachingdevelopment@barrhavenscottish.com) as she will be able to provide direction and support.
