Minors Fun Day

Saturday was a wonderful day at Rowan’s Pitch when the U6, U8, U10 and U12 came together to have a fun day and celebrate the end of the season. Not only were the activities incredibly well organised but the wonderful coaches and volunteers had also ordered coffee, donuts, pizza and freezies, a feast for everyone. It really is testament to the wonderful culture of our club that we ensure fun is at the core of all that we do. Thank you everyone and special mention for super organisers, Terri-lyn and Sam.

Kicking Clinic

This weekend BSRFC welcomed Sam Malcolm (Between the Posts) for a series of two-day kicking clinics. Thirty-five athletes from U14 through U18 gained valuable tips and pointers from the former professional player/kicker turned coach. Thanks you to U16 Manager Mark Thorsley for organising such a great event. 

Congratulations

Congratulations to the Scottish girls, MacKenzie Oliphant, Cordelia Burgess, Georgia Priestman, Carys McCleery, Marlow Tolmie, Lauren Nowiski, Maggie Grills, Naomi Kavanagh who played for Ontario Blues U17 this summer and won the Alberta series. Great work and what a fantastic showing from the Scottish. 

Congratulations also goes to two of our Senior women, Grace Dingwall and ShonDreya Smardon who were selected as part of the 12 athlete roster to compete at the FISU World university championships at Stellenbosch, South Africa from Sept 4-6. We wish them all the best. 

Junior Fall 7s

This week U14, U16 and U18 coaches will be reaching out to players to notify of upcoming 7s tournaments. Please note there will be a team fee associated with entry which the coaches have to pay upfront and will be working out the cost per player. Thank you for your understanding.
