We have been reviewing both Teamsnap and Spond platforms over the last few weeks. Teamsnap provides a number of features that we either cannot or have chosen not to use, e.g., registration and finance capabilities are covered through Play HQ and we have chosen Veo over the live streaming offering. As such, we have determined that we are using Teamsnap as a communication tool just like Spond and cannot justify the $1300 annual fee. We have checked that we can do all the activities in Spond that we do with Teamsnap and now we are starting the transition.
Next steps:
- John Dingwall will have the remaining teams updates in Spond by the end of the week – seniors and minors.
- John has already populated all the other teams, please check and accept your invitation from Spond and check your personal details – if you do not have the invite please reach out to John (equipmentmanager@barrhavenscottish.com).
- Please download the Spond app (https://www.spond.com).
- We will continue to use Teamsnap for all communication just now and your coaches will let you know when they will fully transition.
