It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of a cherished member of our rugby family. Judith Laroche, mother of Vince Martin (Senior Men’s team), passed away on Tuesday following a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Judith was a familiar and welcoming presence on the sidelines at Vince’s games. She not only supported her son with unwavering enthusiasm, but also cheered on and cared for every member of the team. Her warmth, kindness, and generosity touched so many of us. Those who had the privilege of knowing her will remember her fondly, and she will be deeply missed by our entire club community.
In speaking with Judith several weeks ago about how the club might support her, she expressed a wish that we come together to raise funds for breast cancer research through the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on October 4. In her honour, a BSRFC team has been created, and we encourage all members to consider donating or joining the team to take part in this meaningful event. Let’s come together as a club to honour Judith’s memory and show the strength of our rugby community.
Canada vs England Oct 23 – Ticket purchase extended until June 28
Following a very successful first phase of ticket sales for the upcoming matches between Canada’s Women’s Rugby Team and England in Toronto and Ottawa, we are pleased to announce that the Club Ticket Program has been extended. BSRFC club’s exclusive ticket link will remain active until Sunday June 28.
