Barrhaven Scottish RFC is hosting a very important and informative afternoon on concussion awareness and education. Guest speakers include: Kathleen and Gord Stringer, Dr Sarah Cohen, Dynamic Physiotherapy and Chiropractic and Paul Hunter, Rugby Canada
9:30am – 11:00am – Touch at Sir Guy Carleton HS
12:15pm – All gather in front room at Royal Oak Centrepointe
12:30pm – Welcome – Barb Gillie, BSRFC President
12:35pm – Kathleen and Gord Stringer – Rowan’s Story and Rowan’s Law
1:00pm – Dr Sarah Cohen, Dynamic Ottawa – Concussion management
1:25pm – Paul Hunter, Rugby Canada – PlaySmart Program, putting players first initiative
1:50pm – Final thoughts
As part of the Royal Oak Family Day there will be $5 burgers, give-a-ways, popcorn machine, bake sale, games for young children, 50/50 draw and silent auction.
