Once again a big shout out to Natasha Smith for her first international cap with the Women’s National team. Great to see one of our own on the world stage!

This weekends fixtures consisted of The Juniors, The Senior Women’s and the Old Boy’s in action.

The Junior’s travelled down to the Limestone City aka Kingston to challenge the Kingston Panthers. The Junior’s were able to pull out a victory and have strung together a couple of victories now.

The Senior Women’s team was short a few bodies when they took the pitch versus St. Lambert in Montreal playing the game with only 13 players. Despite playing down a couple women they were still able to come away with another win pulling their record to five wins and one loss for the season. They continue to put together a great season following their championship last year.

The Old Boy’s welcomed the Walsall Rugby Club who are visiting from England and previously challenged the Ottawa Indians Old Boy’s team earlier in the week. With the final score showing five tries to one in favour of the English squad it wasn’t indicative of the play on the field, as it was a hard fought match. The game overall was definitely the most intense since the reformation of the Old Boys, as the wiley English squad showed how advanced the game is in it’s more native parts, but the experience overall was one many of the Old Boys will hold dear.
