Ottawa’s Barrhaven Scottish Senior Men Capped off an Undefeated Season going a combined 23-0-1 by taking the Quebec Rugby League Provincial and Reserve titles on Saturday, September 17th.
The Montreal Irish hosted a full day of championship play downs and the Men’s First and Second teams battled to the last very last seconds, prevailing 26-25 vs the Ottawa Beavers and 22-16 against Club Rugby de Montreal to claim the Championship trophies.
Both games were nail biters as the Seconds team trailed 22-0 at half before storming all the way back to take their first lead of the day as time expired on a conversion kick for the win.
The Firsts team never trailed, but looked as if they had let Montreal back in until a final try to set up the go ahead kick was called back on an offsides penalty.
